Job Description:

Provides overall responsibility for the administration of Human Resources activities related to payroll. Oversees a team that handles the administration and any escalation related to payroll programs, policies, and issues. Ensures great customer service with regard to payroll, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with shared services leadership team to provide strategic leadership for the system's share services organization including setting vision and governance.
    • Oversees enterprise wide payroll and time and attendance strategy and design.
    • Manages outsourced vendor garnishment and court order administration.
    • Oversees payroll processing processes, time and attendance management and year-end payroll process.
    • Serves as the highest point of escalation for complex payroll-related inquiries to provide timely resolution.
    • Partners with finance organization and outsourced vendor on matters relating to payroll tax, wage payments and W-2s.
    • Ensures compliance with legislative matters regarding payroll and translates implications for the system.
    • Translates labor contracts and negotiated payroll, time and attendance rules.
    • Collaborates with audit and labor requests and analysis of payroll and/or time related data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related discipline
  • 7+ years payroll experience
  • 5+ years Human Resources leadership experience preferably leading payroll, compensation or benefits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

Licenses/Certifications

  • Payroll Certification preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $46.42 to $64.22 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
