Overview

We are currently accepting applications for this position, with an anticipated hire date at the end of April. Candidates are encouraged to apply early for consideration.

  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 1st shift
  • On Call & Weekends may be required

This position has direct supervision of staff and coordinates and oversees daily facilities operations including the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems by performing the following duties.


Responsibilities

  • Reviews work orders to determine work priorities and provide timely service to customers.
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tool, and equipment by delegating work assignments.
  • Directs maintenance functions and oversees activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of HVAC, steam, electric power, gas, and other required services for operations.
  • Establishes and maintains proficient use of CMMS work management system. Coordinates special projects as assigned.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, supplies and other resources required for continuous facility operations.
  • Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedure.
  • Confers with leadership, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of facilities, services, machines and equipment.
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of equipment.
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Assures efficient use of manpower and works within budgeted allocation of resources. Acts as liaison with internal customers.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five or more years' experience in healthcare, preferably mechanical or electrical trades
Previous supervisor experience preferred


Certification/Licensure

Senior Healthcare Facilities Mechanic preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
