Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$50.37 - $65.48 / hour

Summary

Works under the supervision of analytic leadership appropriate for the scope of work. This supervision may be through a matrixed or direct reporting structure. This role is responsible for leading data analytics and additional support of performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualization, and information dissemination. They are subject matter data experts that work with complex IT solutions to solve high priority organizational analytic problems in their work area. This role involves developing and fine tuning exploratory IT solutions, which includes coding, testing, debugging, designing, and implementing newly developed BI solutions. They process large amounts of information to draw conclusions based on their intelligence findings, interact with a variety of business professionals, and communicate critical project requirements within the organization. Spends time researching and planning analytic solutions for existing and new problems within the organization as directed by their supervisor and leadership. Responsible for leading the subject matter strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence tools. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems independently. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhance clinical & business decision-making capabilities. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Goals are communicated in solution or project goal terms. Will provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization.

Also, may manage developers, directing their efforts to reach organizational goals in a timely manner. Partners and collaborates with other analytic teams and data engineers. Serves as subject matter expert for engineers, spending time planning for new data architecting needs. Participates in meetings to suggest improvements for business processes. They also help manage custom application development and create delivery model strategies, as well as provide scalable services related to high performance visualization tools and infrastructure design.

Lead data analytics projects, including the management of allocated developer resources, directing their efforts to reach key milestones in a timely manner. Design and implement standards in development practices. Spend time planning for new data architecting needs.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

Required: Bachelor's Level Degree;
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in IT or related field is required (such as engineering, business administration, etc.). Masters degree in data science or advanced analytics strongly preferred.

Preferred:
Masters degree of data science and/or advanced analytics

Certified in at least two of Epics data model

Background with Epic surgical data modelsrequired (e.g., perioperative workflows, case tracking, procedure documentation, OR metrics)

Experience with clinical/business analytics reporting and dashboards

Knowledge of current healthcare environments preferred

9+ years of experience in enterprise databases and analytic reporting

7+ year of experience using Qlik Sense/QlikView/Tableau or other BI Visualization tool

Proficiency in statistical modeling and tools (ie: R/Python/SAS/SPSS) Requires minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, analytics, software development or data management utilizing project management and analytic process methodologies (e.g. Agile & Scrum)

Experience/Skills Requirements:

7+ years of experience developing and managing reports and dashboards for analytic projects

5+ years of experience with Business Intelligence Tools (QlikSense, QlikView, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

Experience creating data models to support reports and dashboards

Strong understanding of relational databases with experience using SQL query techniques.

Knowledge of data warehouses/data stores and data marts

Experience developing a test plan and executing test scenarios related to building and deploying dashboards

Requires demonstrated experience in project management or management and experience working with external vendors.

Requires experience training, mentoring, and leading other developers/analysts

Experience designing and implementing standards in development practices
