Primary Function of Organizational Unit
College of Education houses four instructional departments, the Office of Research, the Office of Educator Preparation, the Office of Assessment, Data Management, and Digital Learning, and the Center for STEM Education. The Summer Ventures Camp is an annual outreach program hosted by the Center for STEM Education for high school students in the region.
Job Duties
Summer Ventures Residence Life Security will assist Summer Ventures staff with night security for approximately 50 high school juniors and seniors. The position will oversee activity in the residence hall used by the camp and communicate with Resident Life Director and Resident Life Assistant Director to ensure a safe environment. This is a short-term summer camp position that runs from July 5, 2026 - July 25, 2026. Work ends when the camp concludes on July 25, 2026. The sole purpose of the position is to provide security in the residence hall in which campers will reside for the 3-week time period during the hours of 11pm to 6am, 7 days a week. NOTE: Housing accommodations are not provided for individuals selected for this position.
Minimum Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalency and demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require valid N.C. driver's license.
