Overview

We are expanding our Surveying practice in Texas and seeking a dedicated RPLS who wants to lead meaningful work, mentor team members, and help strengthen our survey operations. You'll have solid tools, a professional team, and the chance to influence how our survey group grows. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.



Responsibilities

    What You'll Do
  • Lead Survey Work from Start to Finish.
  • Produce and seal boundary, topographic, platting, and easement surveys.
  • Prepare legal descriptions and survey documentation in compliance with Texas law and TBPELS requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality deliverables from initial research through final submission.
  • Keep Projects Moving Smoothly
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, CAD staff, survey technicians, and field crews.
  • Provide clear directions to ensure tasks stay on track.
  • Identify and resolve issues early to prevent delays.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and clients.
  • Support & Mentor Team Members
  • Guide SITs and technicians toward professional growth and licensure.
  • Reinforce consistent QA/QC standards.
  • Maintain a supportive, professional working environment.
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships
  • Participate in project kickoff and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare proposals for survey work, including scope and project details.
  • Serve as a professional representative for the company with municipal and private-sector clients.
  • Other job duties.


Qualifications

  • Active Texas RPLS license, or comity-eligible.
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in modern surveying technology and software.
  • Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
  • Strong knowledge of local and federal surveying laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in land surveying.
  • Strong skills in boundary analysis and legal descriptions.
  • Proficiency with Trimble GNSS and robotic total stations.
  • Experience with platting, courthouse research, and easement documentation.
  • Ability to maintain quality control, guide workflow, and communicate clearly.
  • Preferred experience with UAVs, scanning, or land development projects.
  • Valid driver's license.
