General Description of the Job Class The Director of Talent Development and Organizational Development plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our Talent Development functions. The Director, Talent and Organizational Development provides leadership for a team and is responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of Talent Development service delivery for Duke University Health System. Transformational leadership and critical thinking will drive efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment across the health system. This role also collaborates with cross-functional leadership teams, provides strategic consultation, and ensures seamless execution of Talent Development initiatives. Reporting directly to the AVP of Talent Development, the Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and initiatives that develop and accelerate the Talent Development and Organizational Development Strategy. The Director also serves as a consultant in an organizational development capacity to support team member engagement, retention, talent management, succession planning, leadership pipeline development, change management and other initiatives to facilitate leadership development and continuous learning initiatives. Required Qualifications at this Level Education Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred. Experience 6 years of progressive human resources related experience.
