Job Description




As a Security Officer - Wellness Campus Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, responding to alarms and unusual activity as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disruptive behavior, and suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, waiting areas, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, as assigned.
  • Help to control access by monitoring entrances, verifying visitor sign-in processes as directed, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations within the facility.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with patient and visitor wayfinding, including providing directions and responding to general questions while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Support medical staff during sensitive situations by establishing a visible presence, maintaining orderly conditions, and requesting additional resources when needed.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities such as fire, severe weather, and medical emergency response per site procedures, including notifying appropriate personnel and coordinating with local responders as directed.
  • Perform assigned rounds to check doors, gates, and restricted areas, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and access issues through established channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
