Job Description




As a Security Officer - Plant Patrol in Guthrie, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site staff and visitors, document observations, and respond with professionalism and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing location, including production areas, warehouses, yards, and the perimeter, as permitted by site policy.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verifying authorization, directing visitors and contractors, and maintaining sign-in and/or badge logs per site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, gates, and designated access points; investigate suspicious activity and report irregular conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, loading docks, and restricted areas; report open or unsecured points and follow site procedures for escalation.
  • Complete shift reports and incident reports with accurate details, maintaining required records in written and/or electronic systems.
  • Coordinate with client contacts, supervisors, and local responders during disruptions such as equipment issues, fire alarms, or medical incidents, following post orders.
  • Observe and report potential hazards related to access control, traffic flow, and housekeeping conditions, following reporting and notification protocols.
  • Operate communication equipment such as radios, phones, and computers, maintaining professional radio etiquette and timely updates to leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
