You will remain visible, monitor assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with teams to help reduce incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Operate an access control post by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, controlling entry to restricted areas and directing guests to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras and alarms as assigned, documenting unusual activity and escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces, entrances, loading areas and perimeter points when applicable. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Screen and log visitors, vendors and deliveries, following identification and authorization procedures and maintaining required logs.
  • Support healthcare staff with de-escalation and assistance requests as directed, using approved communication and reporting protocols.
  • Complete timely written reports, including shift activity logs, incident reports and access control documentation, and submit them per Allied Universal requirements.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site management to communicate policy changes, restricted area updates and incident follow-up actions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
