As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, calls for service, and customer concerns with clear communication. You will document observations, coordinate with store leadership and local responders as needed, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and training requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, helping to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and alarms.
• Support incident de-escalation using verbal skills and appropriate tactics within training and post orders.
• Control access points as assigned, verifying credentials and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Monitor cameras and/or alarm systems when assigned, documenting and communicating notable activity to site leadership and/or dispatch.
• Complete timely written reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation with clear, accurate details.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and/or emergency responders when needed, preserving scene conditions for follow-up and reporting.
• Conduct perimeter checks and key control duties as assigned, reporting maintenance concerns and security-related issues through the proper channels.
• Maintain required uniform and equipment standards, including secure handling, storage, and accountability of issued gear per Allied Universal policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification in Texas.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
