As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic telecom and commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication. You will assist with access control, observe and report unusual activity, and respond to service requests with a customer-focused approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and fire or system alarms, and/or other unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, observing for irregular conditions such as unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and/or property damage, and promptly report concerns.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when required.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and building systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or dispatch.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in daily logs and incident reports using site-required systems and report formats.
  • Provide professional assistance with directions, tenant and/or visitor requests, and general service needs within a commercial office and/or technology-focused environment.
  • Coordinate with property management, facilities teams, and/or telecommunications operations staff regarding access requests, after-hours activity, and service calls.
  • Operate radios, phones, and other communication tools to maintain contact with team members and/or local authorities when needed.
  • Support emergency and incident procedures such as evacuations, controlled re-entry, and traffic or crowd direction as assigned by site policy.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and conduct while following post orders and instructions from Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
