Security Officer - Retail Roving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Roving Patrol in South Sioux City, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service calls, document observations, and communicate clearly with store teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer concerns, disruptive behavior and/or suspected policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, exits, receiving areas and parking lots to help to deter theft, vandalism and/or other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, unsecured doors, damaged fixtures, trip hazards and/or other conditions that may require attention by store management or maintenance.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, observing for concealment behavior and/or coordinating with store personnel when issues are identified.
• Provide access control support by observing customer and associate traffic, guiding visitors to appropriate areas and/or confirming restricted areas remain controlled.
• Assist with crowd management during peak shopping periods, special events and/or emergency situations, including directing foot traffic and supporting orderly movement.
• Write timely and accurate reports of daily activity, incidents, observations and/or actions taken, and notify site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as required.
• Operate site communications equipment and/or monitoring systems as assigned, and coordinate with local responders when directed by site procedures.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned by site leadership and Allied Universal in support of store operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
