Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine patrols and vehicle rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. You will deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while acting with integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, patients, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials per site procedure, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; investigate alerts, document findings, and notify site leadership and/or public responders as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious activity, while following use of force guidelines.
  • Provide a visible presence in common areas and tenant spaces as assigned, offering assistance, answering questions, and helping to resolve concerns in a professional manner.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications that are accurate, timely, and consistent with Allied Universal reporting requirements.
  • Support tenant move-ins and move-outs, deliveries, and contractor work by monitoring access routes, observing for policy compliance, and reporting hazards or maintenance issues through the designated process.
  • Work closely with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and local law enforcement when needed, preserving scene conditions and relaying clear, factual information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
