The Sonoma County Regional Parks Department seeks qualified Natural Resources Maintenance Workers! Multiple Extra-Help positions available. 

Salary starting at $27.70/hour!*

Sonoma County Regional Parks includes 60 parks and beaches from Petaluma to Gualala and Sonoma to Bodega Bay. Regional Parks also manages the county's largest ocean marina and largest extracurricular environmental education center. We demonstrate excellent stewardship of the region's irreplaceable natural and cultural resources and focus on adapting to and reducing the impacts of climate change. 

Natural Resource Maintenance Workers (NRMW) are responsible for environmental field work related to plant management, environmental stewardship, restoration, habitat conservation, and forest management. Additional responsibilities include:

  • ·         Identification of native and non-native plant species
  • ·         Applying invasive plant management techniques including mowing, weeding, spraying, pruning, burning and other methods
  • ·         Operating and maintaining mechanical equipment and hand tools
  • ·         Supporting Natural

Please note: This position requires possession of a valid driver's license, wearing a uniform, working outdoors, occasional weekends, and in all weather conditions.

Temporary, extra-help employees are limited in their employment to a maximum of one calendar year. These employees must be off of work for three months before they can be re-employed on an extra help basis. *Salary is negotiable within the established range.
