Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance (Non-Tenure Track)

The Department of Economics and Finance within the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks applicants for a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance, starting in August 2026.

This is a non-tenure-track position serving an initial term through May 2027, with the option to renew for one additional year based on need and a satisfactory performance evaluation. This position has an expectation for teaching, research productivity, and service.

Teaching expectation includes 3 courses in Finance each Fall and Spring semester (6 courses total) and some service support to clubs, the department, etc. Courses may include undergraduate principles, upper-level undergraduate courses, and master's-level courses. This position is expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the department and be research-active.

The Department of Economics and Finance at UNCW contributes four concentrations (finance, economics, real estate, and fintech) to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as housing the Bachelor of Arts in Economics Degree and the Master of Science in Finance. In addition, the department actively supports the Master of Business Administration program as well as the International MBA program, a joint program with international partner schools. The Department actively encourages faculty and student engagement through student clubs in addition to other programs such as Fed Challenge, CFA Challenge, the student managed investment fund, and honors research projects. The department also prides itself on an improving research portfolio and collaborative work within the department
