Seeking skilled technicians for precise body fitment on Tesla vehicles. Must excel in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and supplier teams to resolve production and field performance issues through technical corrective actions.
What You'll Do
- Apply advanced automotive body fitment techniques including gap flush and alignment adjustments
- Perform precise inspections adjustments repairs and certification of body assemblies to CVIS specifications
- Execute detailed record-keeping reporting time/material tracking and shop supply ordering
- Operate and maintain hand tools power tools shop equipment and automotive/electrical diagnostic systems
- Conduct equipment inspections adjustments and certification processes
- Implement production and field-identified corrective actions on vehicle body assemblies
- Collaborate with engineering quality and supplier teams to resolve fitment and performance issues
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated expertise in automotive body fitment techniques and gap/flush/alignment correction
- Strong knowledge of vehicle parts tools materials and repair methods for electric vehicles
- Proficiency operating and maintaining hand power shop and automotive/electrical diagnostic tools
- Proven spatial reasoning and problem-solving applied to complex unique body fit challenges
- Prior experience reading interpreting and applying CVIS body fit specification standards
- Ability to perform detailed daily record-keeping reporting and documentation
- Comfortable working in fast-paced team environment managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
