Responsibilities

    Must be familiar with being an Air Force Local Registration Authority (LRA) which validates user identities, processes requests for digital certificates (like for SIPRNet tokens), and manages the lifecycle of these certificates (issuance, suspension, revocation) for the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). They also maintain logs and documentation, troubleshoot PKI issues, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies for local systems and users.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software over the phone.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
  • Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation process.
  • Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing and replacing equipment components.
  • Provides on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • Under general supervision:
    • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
    • Work is checked since errors may cause delay or expense.
    • May assist and train less experienced personnel.


Required Experience/Qualifications

  • High School plus advanced training, and 3 - 4 yrs. of experience.
  • Must be open to working day, mid, or weekend shifts.


Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Familiar with Air Force EITAAS Service Now trouble ticket system, Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS), and Integrated Data Maintenance System (IMDS)
  • Course Completion certification for Microsoft Windows 11


Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance


Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.
  • Use repetitive motion.
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
