The Work itself:

• Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa's internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
• Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Developing, testing, and documenting software programs.
• Developing micro services using Java, Sprint boot,Kafkaand MySQL.
• Applying theappropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products.
• Supporting and/orinstallssoftware applications/operating systems.
• Performing code reviews to verify changesmeetdevelopment requirements and deploying and staging code in development environments.
• Developing database queries, or code that generates queries and fixes bugs found in existing codebases.
• Contributing to authoring large project deployment procedures.
• Developing large applications independently and designing multi-tier solutions.
• Producing highly scalable, high performing applications.
• Helping preserve goals and business requirements..

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Desire to work with and share new and innovative ideas, constantly expanding your knowledge.

Analytical, strong organization and planning skills.

Ability to work on complex technical and business problems while creative solutions.

3+ years of experience with Core Java and Java web application development for RESTful web services.

3+ years of strong knowledge w/ Spring Framework, Spring boot and Build Tools, such as Maven.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, object model, DOM manipulation and event handlers, data structures and algorithms.

Complete understanding of ReactJS and its main fundamentals like JSX, Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, etc.

Strong experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries.

Working knowledge in Reactive and Event drive programming using Kafka.

Strong knowledge in accessing data using Spring Data, JPA and JDBC.

Strong OOP Design Skills and experience with design patterns.

Ability to understand and author APIs.

Practice inTest-driven Development.

Good knowledge in multi-threading and concurrency.

Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins , Docker, Kubernetes

Working with Checkmarx, Qualys, Aqua and similar code/system scanners and remediation for security focused development

Strong knowledge in optimizing SQL, Stored Procedure is a plus

Profession experience in using ETL tool Clover DX to implement import and export data flows.

Experience in AI/ML is a plus.

Experience working with API automation with Java based frameworks (Rest Assured, TestNg or JUnit) or JavaScript based frameworks (Jasmine or Jest).

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this positionis $110,700 to $171,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
