Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Phoenix, AZ. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Performs train and system recoveries of failed equipment, 'light' preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and wayside equipment, including but not limited to visual inspections of brakes, air compressors, couplers, doors, HVAC, auxiliary power, and all other related electro-mechanical components, and maintenance duties under the direction of the supervisors.
• Makes recommendations for hardware and procedural changes that become evident during performance of maintenance, inspection, or troubleshooting.
• Reviews and understands safety instructions, procedures, objectives, and the nature of the technical activity, and possible solutions such as disassembly and replacement, adjustment, or repair for the maintenance of car/rail equipment and subsystem components.
• Manually drive trains and ensure trains entering revenue service are fully serviceable.
• Handles emergencies and failures in accordance with established procedures through immediate response and quick action.
• Participates in regular training to maintain the required level of knowledge to effectively maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the system.
• Records the activity performed by indicating all relevant information on appropriate work orders/forms.
• Follows all client security and safety instructions or procedures to prevent any personal injuries and maintain a safe fleet that will meet the demands of a reliable commuter service.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to all Sky Train passengers.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $22.00 / hr. (10% shift differential)

Hours: 5 x 8 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract to hire (8 months).

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or maintenance.

• Understanding of use with general hand tools.
• Proficient in the English Language.
• Obtain and maintain certifications in compliance with all state and federal regulations applicable to this position.
