The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Clerical Assistant - Athletic Communications for Athletics - Facilities & Operations.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Work with Rutgers Athletic Communications office to update and maintain athletic pages, schedules and rosters on ScarletKnights.com.
- Assist with writing and editing news content for ScarletKnights.com, including game previews and recaps as well as feature stories on student-athletes and other members of the organization.
- Help manage statistics for athletics programs.
- Curate content to be posted on social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and X.
- Work with select staff to manage and distribute credentials for select athletic events.
- Assist with updating program notes to be distributed to broadcast partners.
- Work alongside fulltime staff to help manage games and events on campus.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
