Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$35.04 - $47.30 / hour

Provides support of excellence in evidenced based clinical practice, patient care, and education that support Lee Health strategic priorities, mission, vision, and values.

This position has a concentration in simulation and works alongside the Simulation Education Coordinator (SEC) to coordinate and support all components of the Lee Health Simulation Center program including both clinical and technical support. This role assists with the preparation, maintenance, inventory and operation of all simulation equipment/supplies and collaborates with Nursing Professional Development Practitioners (NPDP) and other facilitators to design, plan, implement and schedule simulation activities. Functions as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the application of simulation-based clinical training in collaboration with the campus Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (NPDP). Obtains data from simulated clinical scenarios/events and conducts detailed inventory of Education and Simulation Centers supplies, simulators, including professional organization/appearance of the centers in collaboration with the campus NPDP. This position supports all patient simulation activities/programs. Demonstrates expert ability to use advanced computer skills; MS Windows, including Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Demonstrates competency in use of presentation software, laptop, and audio visual for education programs and presentations.

Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, masters degree in nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience:A minimum of five years full-time clinical nursing experience required, preferably in the setting in which they will work. A minimum of two years of full-time nursing education experience in a formal education role required. A minimum of one year of formal managerial experience required.

Certification:Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or Certified Nursing Education (CNE) preferred. BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) required, current for at least the first 90 days of employment.

License:Current Florida RN license.

Other:Demonstrates a commitment to life-long learning. Memberships in national professional organizations is preferred such as Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) or Certified Nursing Education (CNE). Demonstrates the ability to use advanced computer/software skills such as the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Demonstrates competency in using laptop projector systems for education programs and presentations.
