JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Penn State Student Media Network is seeking a motivated, creative undergraduate student to assist with content planning, creation, and posting for the organization's Instagram account. This position will also assist with analytics gathering and creating reports.

Primary job duties include:

  • Collaborate with Penn State Student Media Network on developing and executing the content strategy
  • Capture and edit photos to be used as Instagram Feed posts
  • Capture and edit short-form videos to be used as Instagram Reels
  • Write captions and design graphics as needed for posts
  • Collect data monthly and assist with analysis and reporting

The position will require some availability during regular office hours as well as attendance at events, which may fall on evenings and weekends

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and enjoy interacting with students, faculty, and staff. Candidates must have experience with photography and multimedia content. Preferred qualifications include a working knowledge of the Instagram platform and experience with Canva and/or Adobe software.

This is a paid position with a commitment of 5-10 hours per week and a rate of $15/hour. Please upload a cover letter and resume to apply, including relevant social media handles to showcase your work.
