The Cardiac Monitor Technician monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms for patients in a healthcare setting. Working under full supervision, this role supports collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate analysis of cardiac data. This position's tasks are clearly defined and monitored by more senior members of the cardiac department. Essential Job Function Collaborates with healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms and data to identify abnormalities or changes that require attention and intervention. Supports the operation and maintenance of cardiac monitoring equipment to ensure its proper functioning and accuracy to provide reliable data for patient assessment. Supports the processing of recommendations from healthcare professionals for further evaluation or treatment based on the analysis of cardiac data to ensure timely communication and follow-up. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required: 6 months prior cardiac monitoring experience or completion of a cardiac monitor technician program Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: Passing score on the Advanced Cardiac Monitoring Interpretation Test within 60 days of hire.
