| Position Summary |
The Grants Management Specialist
in the
SON Office of Research is a primary point of contact and support for faculty who are applying for or have been awarded internally or externally funded grants and/or contracts. The purpose of this position is to coordinate all aspects of the pre-and post-award management process that provides essential support to the operation of a research project; this process includes multiple complex, concurrent tasks such as assisting with grant applications and post-award fiscal management, offering guidance with policies and procedures, providing information for funding agency reports, and preparing post-award documentation. This position requires a heightened attention to detail, following strict guidelines that may vary greatly among the various types of funding opportunities and sponsors. This position will serve as the primary resource for the School of Nursing on budget policies and business procedures as they relate to grant/ contract/indirect funds, for budgets, EPAFs, and labor redistributions. Collaborating with researchers to identify funding and budgetary needs for each individual proposal, this position will fully prepare the budget for each proposal following the specific sponsor guidelines. This individual will also work closely with the Associate Dean of Research and Scientific Advancement in spearheading research development for the School of Nursing. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2-3 years' related experience.

- Master's degree preferred.
- Preference will be given to applicants with strong experience in budget management or analysis, experience working in a university setting, and/or experience working with federal research grants.
