Location: New York City (Onsite, 5 days/week) Type: 5+ Month ContracttoHire Position Overview Our client is seeking a Python/AWS Engineer. This team is responsible for building highimpact internal tools, data pipelines, and platforms that support systems across the enterprise. This is a handson engineering role where you will architect, build, and optimize cloudnative applications, data pipelines, and backend services while collaborating closely with UI teams and crossfunctional partners. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop Python- and AWS-based applications with an emphasis on scalability and reliability. * Build and maintain data pipelines leveraging AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, ECS, and data lake technologies. * Develop and support API endpoints consumed by internal UI teams. * Contribute to system design, code reviews, and operational support of production systems. * Create and maintain Java microservices and Spark-based data processing applications (nice to have). * Integrate emerging technologies, including AI/ML capabilities where relevant. * Work within an Agile team and contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Must-Have Skills * Strong experience with Python and building Python-based backend services. * Hands-on experience with AWS services including: * ECS * Glue * Lambda * S3 * Data Lake architectures * Experience creating data pipelines and backend APIs. * Experience developing in large, enterprisescale environments. * Solid understanding of databases (Snowflake, Oracle, or PostgreSQL). * Strong grounding in application development, testing, and system stability. Nice-to-Have Skills * Experience with PySpark or Spark frameworks. * Familiarity with React.js for UI integration. * Exposure to AI/ML integration within applications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York City, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $78.00/hr.
