About the Role We are seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to support our clinical office by ensuring all patient insurance information is accurate, uptodate, and fully verified prior to treatment. This role plays a key part in creating a smooth patient experience by confirming eligibility, obtaining authorizations, updating records, and supporting frontoffice operations as needed. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Work Environment: Onsite, cubicle workspace Responsibilities * Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage with a high degree of accuracy. * Enter new patient demographics and maintain updated profiles in the EHR system. * Review upcoming appointments for insurance requirements and ensure all documents are prepared in advance. * Obtain prior authorizations, precertifications, and referrals; submit appeals when needed. * Verify coverage and collect deposits when applicable. * Provide overflow phone support and assist the front desk during highvolume periods. * Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA. * Perform additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Minimum 2 years of experience in a physician's office performing insurance verification duties. * Strong understanding of insurance payers, benefits, and authorization processes. * Experience with billing, collections, and EHR software. * Knowledge of medical terminology; ENT, Audiology, or Allergy knowledge is a plus. * Proficient with Windows applications and navigating multiple insurance portals. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of APPLETON, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
