The Horsham Clinic is seeking energetic, creative and mission-focused Recreation Therapy Manager. **The ideal candidate must hold either a valid/active and in good standing Occupational Therapy license or CTRSS certification. About Horsham The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed, private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve patients and families from Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. In addition to our main campus in Ambler, we have two satellite partial hospitalization programs in Chester County and Delaware County. Visit us online at https://horshamclinic.com/ Position Summary The Recreation Therapy Manager provides a program of therapeutic recreational and expressive therapy services to patients and serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and supports the facility's treatment program and philosphy. This role serves as the department's fiscal manager and understands the department's expenses and revenues. This role does have direct reports and manage employee time inclusive of tracking worked hours/shifts/call outs/PTO. The Recreation Therapy Manager carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management and audit. The position observes groups and audit notes, develops groups and programs ensuring age and diagnosis appropriate, modifies groups according to changing needs of the patients and the patient community. Assists the Recreation Therapy team with assessments on all assigned cases. Meets with each resident within timelines given, summarizing individual ability, motivation and preference. Facilitates trainings for staff related to group facilitation and documentation of groups as needed or requested by Directors/Managers. Coordinates hospital-wide activities including patients, their families and staff. Recommends to the treatment team effective alternatives or modification to treatment plans based on the patient progress and response to treatment plan. Provides therapeutic recreation and expressive therapy groups. The ideal candidate will be able to perform jobs/assignments with minimal supervision. Have the ability to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles. Capability of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments on a consistant basis. Effective communication skills. Effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills as well as written and verbal. Strong working knowledge of computers. What's in it for you?
