Senior Project Coordinator, Event Security - Remote

The Event Security Coordinator plans, coordinates and implements security services and solutions for UHG events.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and drafting event-specific security plans under the guidance of the Director or Associate Director of Event Services
  • Coordinate with UHG's Event Center of Excellence, UHG business units hosting events, and third-party vendors of event management services
  • Coordinate logistics and deployment of on-site security personnel and resources
  • Support communication with local law enforcement and emergency services before and during events as needed
  • Facilitate emergency preparedness by organizing security briefings and contributing to drills and training sessions as assigned
  • Serve as a day-of-event point of contact for basic security issues, escalating to senior staff when necessary
  • Contribute to post-event reports by compiling observations and supporting the development of recommendations

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in security coordination and project management, operations, or support role
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with standard security protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Proven sound organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to real-time issues
  • Proven ability to be trusted with sensitive information
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Driver's License

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in researching, developing and implementing policies and procedures

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
