Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing/Industrial Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Manufacturing/Industrial Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, driving operational efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing systems, ensuring quality standards, and providing technical guidance to the engineering team. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, and project management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality within the organization.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma methodologies, process automation, and cost reduction efforts.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions to enhance overall operational performance.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of new product designs.
  • Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve cycle time, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure manufacturing performance, track progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team on complex manufacturing and industrial engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in manufacturing and industrial engineering, and incorporate them into the organization's processes and strategies.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, promoting their professional growth and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5-8+ years) in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering roles, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing process design, layout optimization, and production planning.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems and technologies, such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to manufacturing processes, such as ISO 9001.
