As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response as needed. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and deliver customer service with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, including relevant details for follow-up.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, gates, loading areas, and equipment rooms for signs of damage, forced entry, and/or unsecured conditions.
  • Assist with emergency situations such as medical incidents, fire alarms, and/or evacuations by following post orders and communicating updates to responders and site leadership.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, contractors, and delivery drivers to support orderly operations while maintaining post requirements.
  • Support access management for deliveries and service vendors by confirming work authorization, directing to designated areas, and noting arrival and departure times as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
