Job Description




As a Security Officer - DOD Overnight Patrol in King Of Prussia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor badge processes, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and communicating updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and key areas, assist with visitor check-in and/or badge verification as directed by post orders, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and support security-related audits and/or compliance requirements as assigned by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Proof of a high school diploma/GED is required.
  • - Customer service experience is preferred.
  • - Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • - CPR certification is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
