Job Description




As a Security Officer - CRE Rover Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and a customer-first approach. You will document observations, support building staff and tenants, and contribute to a caring, agile team that acts with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and delivery activity, providing directions and assistance while helping to follow site entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and/or property damage notifications, and escalate to site leadership and/or first responders as required.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized persons, and/or policy violations, taking appropriate action consistent with post orders and training.
  • Complete routine security-related reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation with clear, timely details.
  • Use security-related equipment such as radios, phones, access control systems, and/or video monitoring tools as assigned by site procedures.
  • Coordinate with property management, engineering, and other onsite teams regarding security-related concerns, unusual conditions, and/or follow-up actions.
  • Assist with access requests, tenant needs, and service vendor coordination as directed, including escorting vendors and/or visitors when required by site policy.
  • Support building opening and/or closing procedures when assigned, including checking doors, gates, and other controlled areas for proper status.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
