Job Description




As a Security Officer - Defense Perimeter Patrol in Mukilteo, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and coordinate with site contacts as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking credentials, validating visitor authorization, and directing personnel to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems, and report irregular conditions per site procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections of doors, gates, fencing, and restricted areas, and report maintenance or access concerns through the established channels.
  • Complete reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation with clear, accurate details.
  • Support emergency and evacuation procedures, including assisting with muster accountability and coordinating with onsite contacts and responding agencies as directed.
  • Enforce site rules and conduct guidelines in a professional manner while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and onsite stakeholders regarding developing situations, policy questions, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
