As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. You will document activity using site technology and respond to situations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity, reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws, maintaining proper control and accountability of issued equipment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical response support, and other urgent events as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor management processes.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other monitoring systems when assigned, reporting observed issues and escalating concerns per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, suspicious activity, patrol observations, and other security-related events, maintaining clear documentation for supervisors and client representatives.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal leadership and onsite stakeholders using radio and/or phone, providing timely updates and requesting assistance when needed.
  • Support de-escalation efforts when appropriate and request law enforcement and/or additional resources per site procedures.
  • Assist with location-specific emergency procedures such as evacuations, lockdowns, and fire response support, following posted instructions and direction from leadership.
  • Conduct routine checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas to identify unsecured conditions and report maintenance and/or access control issues.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
