Job Description




As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, supporting mobile patrol coverage and timely response. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business areas and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and vehicle activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in written reports and/or electronic logs per site requirements.
  • Communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and unusual activity.
  • Assist with incident response by following established post orders, including contacting designated responders and/or emergency services when required.
  • Support a professional presence through frequent area checks, responding to client and tenant questions, and directing individuals to the appropriate resources.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
