Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality assurance and testing activities for the CashPro Data and Payment Tracker platforms
- Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and compliance across complex financial workflows
- Own End-to-End Test Strategy for backend systems, including ETL pipelines, APIs, Web applications and data services within the CashPro Data ecosystem and Payment Tracker application
- Design and execute Test Cases for data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation across multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity of payment-related data
- Validate Complex Data Flows in batch and real-time processing environments, including schema evolution, data lineage, and referential integrity
- Perform API and Service-Level Testing, including contract validation, error handling, and performance checks for backend integrations supporting payments workflows
- Develop and maintain Test Automation for ETL processes, APIs, and backend components; integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance
- Manage Test Data Strategy, including creation of synthetic data, masking of sensitive payment details, and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards
- Analyze large data sets using SQL and other tools to verify transformations, identify anomalies, and validate business rules for payment transactions
- Collaborate with Development, Data Engineering, and Product Teams to resolve defects, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment on backend quality objectives
- Ensure Compliance and Audit Readiness, validating entitlement/masking logic and maintaining evidence for regulatory and operational risk controls
- Provide clear reporting and insights on test progress, defect trends, and data quality metrics; proactively identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related field
- 8+ years in QA/Test Leadership with focus on ETL/ELT, API/service testing, and backend systems
- Strong payments domain knowledge (treasury/payment workflows) and compliance awareness
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Informatica ETL workflows and data integration solutions
- Strong SQL skills; ability to write complex queries across Oracle, No-SQL (Mongo, Elastic)
- Experience in test automation frameworks for ETL and RESTful APIs; CI/CD integration
- Familiarity with data warehouses, data analysis, and deriving test scenarios from raw data
- Working knowledge of defect management, risk frameworks, and enterprise testing standards
- Expertise with QA tools: Octane, JIRA, Confluence, Quality Center
- Strong requirement analysis, prioritization, and risk identification skills
- Deep expertise in testing data-driven applications, strong leadership skills, and prior experience in financial services

Desired skills:
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience in Automation tools and framework for ETL/backend/API/Web testing
- Familiarity in testing cloud-native modern data stacks - Snowflake, Databricks, Apache iceberg
- Testing experience in Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala) or data lakes
- Prior experience in Cashpro or Global Transaction Services
- BI Tools - Alteryx, Tableau, Starburst
- Familiarity with client enterprise processes, governance, and change management
Pay Range: $50.42-$58.42
