Location: Preference will be given to candidates located in Lancaster, PA or within major East Coast areas (e.g., Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, or Washington, D.C.), who are within a reasonable commuting distance to Lancaster, as regular on-site presence is required.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Metal Interiors, the MetalWorks Solutions Specialist/Manager supports the company's interior metal category by serving as a knowledgeable resource for metal products, specifications, and project needs, managing quoting activities for key opportunities, and ensuring accurate project tracking in SFDC. The role partners closely with CSMs, ASMs, and crossfunctional teams to provide technical guidance, coordinate GTM support, and assist in resolving product or claims issues. Through customer engagement, competitive awareness, and delivery of training to sales teams, the role strengthens field execution and helps improve tools, materials, and processes that enhance MetalWorks project success.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the SME for MetalWorks and Moz systems, manufacturing capabilities, and competitive metal ceiling/wall/column cover products; identify opportunities for new or improved products.
  • Use Salesforce.com to track project activity and maintain accurate data.
  • Review metal specifications to identify quoting opportunities and needed improvements.
  • Manage all major metal project quotes from preparation through purchase order.
  • Participate in regional sales calls, CSM/ASM Pulse Calls, and monthly estimating calls; maintain updates in SFDC for all metal substrate projects.
  • Contribute as a member of the Metal Business Team.
  • Lead the metal function for TOP/major projects and maintain SFDC updates; participate in CSM Pulse Calls and estimating calls.
  • Maintain pricing strategy and guidelines for major projects; partner with the National Product Manager and AS Construction Services.
  • Travel with CSMs, ASMs, and AWI sales teams on key customer opportunities and serves as the first point of contact for GTM capabilities and field sales questions.
  • Support metal marketing initiatives, including product launches, updates, and promotional activities.
  • Develop, deliver, and manage metal-specific training for AWI sales teams and installation specialists.
  • Plan and deliver customer-facing training, including travel and engagement with distribution ASMs.
  • Manage competitive analysis, market conditions, and competitive activity; keep Business Teams and Directors informed of key developments and NPD/sales opportunities.
  • Manage metal claims and quality issues, working with AS, AWI sales, and AS Leadership to resolve quickly and costeffectively.
  • Establishe processes to capture market feedback and recommend improvements to sales aids, literature, samples, and related materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of quality management processes and claims handling.
  • Understanding of CPQ systems, quoting tools, and sales-enablement processes (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, field sales support, and customer engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple highpriority projects and deadlines.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills; able to assess complex project requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Influential communicator capable of leading discussions with sales teams, product management, and business leadership.
  • Customerfocused mindset with the ability to build strong relationships with CSMs, ASMs, distributors, and end customers.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment; able to shift between strategic and tactical activities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, particularly within SFDC.
  • Strong teamwork orientation; effective working across Marketing, Product Management, Construction Services, and Sales.
  • Professional presence and confidence to travel with sales teams and represent the MetalWorks category externally.
  • Ability to maintain composure, good judgment, and a customer-first approach during claims and escalated issues.
  • Ability to develop and deliver structured training to both internal teams and external customer groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business, or related technical field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in metal products, manufacturing, construction materials, commercial ceilings/walls, or related specialty product categories required.
  • Experience in product management, estimating, technical sales, or category management within building products required.
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, product performance requirements (acoustics, fire ratings, structural), and competitive market landscape required.
  • Hands-on experience working with customers, architects, contractors, or distributors in a commercial building materials environment required.
