Security Officer - Unarmed Plant Rover

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Plant Rover in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. You will be a friendly, professional presence, communicating clearly with staff and guests while documenting observations and concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at a food and beverage location, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns per site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by checking identification and/or visitor authorization, verifying deliveries, and directing traffic flow in designated areas as assigned.
• Complete shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
