You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly, document observations, and report concerns to the appropriate teams to help reduce incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct entrance screening in accordance with site guidelines, which may include verifying access authorization, directing individuals to the appropriate check-in area, and assisting with visitor management protocols.
  • Observe for and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting medical or facility support as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and nearby corridors to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, activity logs, and screening records per site procedure.
  • Use radios, phones, and/or other communication systems to coordinate responses and relay information to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Assist with crowd flow and line management during peak arrival times, special events, and/or heightened health screening periods.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
