Security Guard - Apartment Patrol Driver

As a Security Guard - Apartment Patrol Driver in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist residents and guests, and communicate clearly with site contacts. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential amenities, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor and contractor access, and documenting deliveries and service calls per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifying appropriate contacts, and requesting public emergency services when needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and the site contact.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
