Job Description:
Saab, Inc., a leading defense and security company, is currently seeking an experienced Manager - Government Affairs, to lead and elevate the company's legislative affairs function in the U.S. This driven, detail-orientated individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for all legislative affairs initiatives for the U.S. company including engaging with Capitol Hill and state/local governments. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President - Corporate Affairs (U.S), this role will enhance Saab's position as the company delivers on robust growth plans in the U.S. market. The Manager, Government Affairs is responsible for shaping and implementing Saab, Inc.'s government affairs strategy in support of the company's business objectives, with an emphasis on appropriations. With a broad degree of autonomy, the Manager must be able to anticipate needs and look for opportunities to use government affairs as a business tool across all business lines, including defense and air traffic management. The position is located in Saab's Washington, D.C. Navy Yard office with 2 days/week work from home option. Specific responsibilities will include:
Compensation Range: $199,000 - $268,600 The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
