Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our night shift. This full-time position requires working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holiday.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
- Certifications: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS certification (must be through AHA or RQI).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living needs such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care according to their care plan.
- Ensure resident safety and maintain a clean environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
- Support residents during meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and respecting food preferences.
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including range of motion exercises, walking, transfers, and proper positioning.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Measure and record residents' weight, intake, and output.
- Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents.
- Provide social and emotional support to residents through interaction and companionship.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents' rights at all times.
- Report any resident concerns, changes, or refusals to the nurse promptly.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner according to protocol.
Additional Information
This position involves occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and required tasks may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
