Location: Allen Park, MI

Pay: $28-$30 per hour

Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Powertrain Automotive Warranty Agent. This role is ideal for automotive professionals with a strong background in powertrain diagnostics, warranty analysis, and root cause investigation who want to apply their expertise in a consultative, analytical environment.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate Powertrain Prior Approval (PA) requests
• Provide clear, timely prior approval decisions and technical guidance to dealership service teams
• Communicate with dealership service managers and technicians via web-based systems and phone support
• Analyze repair strategies, diagnostics, and failure data to support accurate warranty outcomes
• Apply service documentation, including TSBs, SSMs, GSBs, and Workshop Manuals, to technical decisions
• Identify trends, repeat failures, and emerging powertrain issues to support continuous improvement
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex service and warranty concerns

Required Qualifications

• Strong computer skills, including accurate typing and system navigation
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills
• Proven background in powertrain diagnostics and repair
• Solid understanding of diagnostic processes, root cause analysis, and failure validation
• Ability to recognize patterns and trends in repeat or emerging technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive repair or dealership service experience
• Previous automotive warranty or prior approval experience
• Familiarity with parts catalogs and service/repair documentation
• Experience working in a dealership service department
• ASE or state automotive certifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
• Experience with systems (PTS, QLS, AWS, OWS)
