Security Officer - Data Center Driver

As a Security Officer - Data Center Driver in Anderson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a cutting-edge tech location as an Access Control Officer. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols while staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary passes per site policy, and directing individuals to the proper destinations.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, and other security-related technology for irregular activity, documenting observations and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces and the perimeter, reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and unusual conditions to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
