Position Overview

QinetiQ is seeling a Compliance Analyst to join our Lorton team! The ideal candidate will take pride in driving initiatives and business strategies for activities relating to finance transformation, systems integration, compliance, standards of conduct and ethical relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and vendors.

They will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including periodic briefings to the QinetiQ Inc executive team. The role supports the QinetiQ Inc compliance function as well as transformation and integration activities.



Responsibilities

    Develop, update and deploy policies, procedures and processes.
  • Coordinate delivery of compliance training, including tracking and reporting
  • Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of incurred cost proposals with external providers
  • Update and maintain the disclosure statement
  • Monitor and ensure indirect rates and cost structure to ensure compliance with Company's disclosure statement and applicable rules and regulations
  • Support analysis of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) changes and cost impact analysis.
  • Support implementation of internal controls and processes designed to comply with CAS, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), related Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Company policies
  • Provide ad-hoc financial and operational assessments as needed.
  • Coordinate communications with external resources to ensure timely resolution of issues


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with US Government contractors or a compliance, finance/accounting, audit, internal audit, risk management, or regulatory role, with experience reviewing conflicts of interest, Code of Ethics, and/or corporate training programs.
  • Familiarity with common regulatory frameworks related to government contracting (e.g., financial services regulations, government ethics rules, and corporate governance) and the ability to establish relationships and communicate with employees at all levels
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven ability to assess complex fact patterns, identify risk, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and personal employee information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly explaining complex compliance requirements and decisions to non-compliance personnel.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage a high volume of requests with competing deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Certified Internal Auditor
