Senior FPGA Engineer (Aerospace)

Acara Solutions has a Gilbert, AZ long-term (at least 12 months) onsite contract position for a Sr. FPGA Engineer.

Contractor pay rate: $130.00-$160.00 / Hour

Duties:

• We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of embedded FPGA solutions for spacecraft electronics.
• You will work on cutting-edge spaceflight systems that demand precision, reliability, and innovation.
• Design and develop embedded FPGA solutions for space-rated electronics.
• Generate FPGA design requirements, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Develop HDL code and testbenches using VHDL or Verilog.
• Perform design analysis to ensure compliance with system requirements and best practices.
• Conduct conceptual design development and trade studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including systems, hardware, and software.
• Support board bring-up and troubleshooting in lab environments.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives..

Required skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC development, including Architecture design or Detailed design or Verification or Lab testing.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in scripting languages such as Python and Tcl.

Preferred skills:

• Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog for development.
