Traveling Superintendent

Our client is a is a well-established and respected general contracting firm based in Central California and for the past 40+ years, they have been helping communities grow with nearly 2,000 projects. They specialize in multifamily and affordable housing, and you can find most of their work in the Central Valley and Bay are however they also have project experience in Oregon, New Mexico and Texas.

They believe in fostering a quality team-oriented culture and therefore they have tremendous tenure and well above average retention ration of their employees whom they refer to as family.

Currently, they are looking to bring on board another Superintendent with affordable housing and or other multifamily housing experience who is willing to travel, however most of their work will be done in the central valley of California.

Responsibilities:
  • Run all daily job site operationsfrom start to finish
  • Travel to assigned project locations and provide consistent on-site leadership
  • Maintain aclean, well-organized, and safety-focused jobsiteat all times
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to keep work on schedule
  • Drive project schedules and proactively solve field issues
  • Enforce safety standards, quality control, and company expectations
  • Communicate clearly with Project Managers, owners, and field teams
  • Lead by example and hold crews accountable to high standards
  • Deliver multifamily and affordable housing projects that positively impact communities
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Superintendenton multifamily construction projects
  • Affordable housing experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness and ability totravel for project assignments
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field logistics
  • High standards forjob site cleanliness, safety, and organization
  • Confident field leadership and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
