The Importance of the Role The Patient Affairs team at Sarepta partners with rare disease communities (including advocacy leaders, individuals affected by rare diseases, and their families) to foster important exchanges as Sarepta strives to transform the lives of individuals living with rare diseases. The individual selected for this internship will have exposure to rare disease patient advocacy from the biotechnology industry's perspective. You will learn from the perspective of people who are impacted by rare diseases and will see how these insights and perspectives are woven into decision-making throughout drug development.The Patient Affairs Intern will gain unique exposure to the intersection of biotechnology, patient advocacy, and community engagement. As a patientfacing function, Patient Affairs sits at the heart of Sarepta's mission, providing firsthand insight into how rare disease drug development impacts patients, families, and communities. As the team expands into new disease areas and deepens its patientcentric strategies and operating models, the intern will support meaningful, missiondriven projects across patient engagement, operations, grants and sponsorships, project management, patient science programs, and crossfunctional partnerships other projects as needed. This role offers a handson introduction to advocacy in rare disease and serves as a valuable gateway for students exploring careers in STEM, biotech, or patientfocused roles. The ideal candidate will leverage their interest in STEM, passion for making an impact, and organizational excellence to dive in headfirst into the rare disease advocacy landscape. The targeted salary range for this position is $21 - $26 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.
