Overview

TRC creates and implements sophisticated and innovative solutions to the challenges facing America's energy markets and infrastructure. A national energy and environmental services organization, TRC provides its services to America's major industries, utilities, banks, insurance companies, and federal, state, and local government agencies.

TRC is seeking a Program Delivery Lead, to oversee program delivery and management for the energy efficiency program serving Southwest Washington. Through the program, we deliver technicalassistanceand cash incentives to customers in existing and new commercial and multifamily buildings to help make natural gas energy efficiency upgrades possible. The direct efforts of the program lead will result in the group's efficient and effective direct engagement with commercial and multifamily customers and contractors to achieve savings and incentive goals. This position leads the group responsible fordirect customer outreach identifyingand engaging potential program participants. This position is also responsible for encouraging utility customers and their contractors to complete projects that support energy savings goals,retainand recruit trade ally contractors, and lead distinct offers. This individual will work closely with the Market Engagement Manager, marketing, engineering, and data teams to develop and execute program offerings in SW Washington for natural gas customers on eligible rate schedules.

We seek a Program Delivery Lead whowill activelyengage with the Market Engagement Manager and client toimplementengagement strategies that are culturally responsive and respectful of diverse perspectives. This includes understanding the unique needs and preferences ofdiversecommunities,leveragingcultural assets, and employing inclusive communication approaches to ensure meaningful participation.

Responsibilities

Essential functions include:

  • Execution of program delivery through oversight of customer engagement from lead generation to project end
  • Reporting program achievements and progress to goal in monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Oversight of outreach to contractors and partners to support project execution
  • Oversight of lead cultivation and lead tracking from project identification to project completion.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with a wide range of internal program partners to pursue strategic engagement of specific rural, underserved, and other priority communities as designated by our client.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and support marketing strategies (targeting high potential prospects and priority communities).
  • Work with the marketing team to develop materials, identify industry segments or equipment with greatest energy savings potential, or need, utilize data mining and analysis to target key customers, and provide the team with data-driven instruction and direction while informing management with data-informed results.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with a wide range of external partners (Community Based Organizations, government agencies, and contractor trade organizations and utility partners) to ensure delivery of client programs to intended participants.
  • Participate in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Management Team directives and support implementation of AEI (Anti Racism, Equity & Inclusion) practices and team building across departments.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree
  • 2+ years' work experience in outreach, sales, account management, marketing, project management, working with utilities or energy contracting firms.
  • Working knowledge of commercial gas and electric systems, utility systems, energy efficiency programs, and building systems
  • Knowledge and familiarity of energy efficiency measures, sustainable building practices, and technologies and experience with utility programs
  • A self-starter who can multi-task with an elevated level of organization, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and the ability to learn and operate TRC/client designed customer relationships management (CRM) systems.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations at conferences and business meetings.
  • Strong customer service skills to include highly effective communication in person, over email, and over the phone.
  • A team player, able to leverage their team's experience and market conditions to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team.
  • A collaborator willing to collaborate with other team leaders (e.g., engineering, marketing, operations), respecting the distinct roles each team has while effectively communicating business development needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data analytics to reach target markets.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to run effective and efficient meetings.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to streamline processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in applying management skills, including execution of workplans, expectation setting, and coaching to achieve program goals.
  • Ability to learn and use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or a similar system to effectively track and report business development activities.
  • Proficiency with computer and mobile technology devices
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point and SharePoint

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience within the energy efficiency industry or technologies
  • Experience with utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs
  • Experience and/or understanding of utility rate schedules.
  • Experience and/or existing commercial customer, contractor, and vendor relationships within SW Washington
  • Understanding of natural gas energy efficiency calculations, run rates and other industry terminology.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency core gas equipment technology such as Food Service Equipment and HVAC and controls systems

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
