The Department of Public Health Practice, Policy & Translational Research has an opening in Phoenix for 2 Assistant /associate professors, Tenure-eligible, to further the teaching, research, and service of MEZCOPH.

This Position is Phoenix based only.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain ongoing robust and productive research programs related to health services research, population Health, health policy & management or health economics research.
  • Leverage advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) methods to evaluate health system performance, population health outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and health equity and to to inform policy, value-based care, and prevention strategies.
  • Develop, organize, and teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students,
  • Contribute to the community engagement and service mission of the College and participate in department, college, university, and professional committees as appropriate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
  • Skill in public speaking and presenting information to large groups.
  • Skill in manuscript development and submission of works to peer reviewed journals.
  • Skill in proposal development for submission to nationally competitive extramural funding programs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in public health or other related field or related professional degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high-impact research portfolio.
